Geeta

Founder of You Can Learn Math, English and Science Tutor

Geeta is a highly experienced teacher who has taught IGCSE and Middle School Mathematics for various International Schools in Singapore and Jakarta. She is currently based in Singapore, leading her company You Can Learn Pte Ltd. with a team of professionals who share her vision in providing outstanding services. Many of her teaching sessions are conducted online, on a one-to-one basis. She has previously worked at Pathlight School, Singapore and has also provided tutoring for students with special needs.
Deeply passionate about education, her success lies in the philosophy of facilitating and guiding that are based on structured teaching principles (TEACCH, North Carolina). With a Masters in Education Technology from USA and a post-graduate degree in Online Education from USQ, Australia, she has developed an expertise in online education and is constantly seeking ways to adapt in a rapidly changing field.

Shanti

English, Principles of Accounting, Math & Phonics Tutor

Shanthi has been in the field of education as a Part Time Lecturer and tutor for Accounting/Finance related subjects. She has taught in some of the prestigious schools in India and Singapore. She also brings a vast amount of Professional Experience from the Industry as she worked as a CFO in a SME in Singapore. She has a Masters’ Degree in Commerce from Delhi University, India along with an Executive Diploma in Business Accounting from UK. She recently completed the Certificate of Professional Practice-Phonics from London Teacher Training College, UK in order to try her hands on working with young kids.

Shanthi’s elder daughter is an alumni of University of Michigan and works for as a Mechanical Engineer in LA,USA. Her younger daughter is in her final year at SUTD, Singapore.

Anitha

Accounting, English, Science and Math Tutor

Anitha is a Chartered Accountant from India and has qualified from the prestigious ACCA , Singapore. She has tutored children in the primary schools and is deeply passionate about teaching and pedagogy.
She has completed the Certificate of Professional Practice from London Training College.
She is a champion for inclusion and volunteers as a support teacher at St. Andrew's Autism Center, Singapore.
Her creative pursuits include painting and singing Indian Classical music.

Siddaarth

Science and Math Tutor

Sidhaarth is a A level graduate from Raffles Institution, and is planning to pursue a Degree business and computing at Nanyang Technological University. He would define himself as a person that dislikes monotony in life hence he seeks out exciting and challenging opportunities.
He appreciates good books and articles, especially ones that make people think. As he believes that being able to effectively express yourself in words is an essential skill today, he enjoys writing. He loves coding in his spare time and has worked on many little projects from making games to designing websites. Apart from this he is passionate about sports and plays tennis and jog on a regular basis.

Dharini

Math Tutor

Dharini Jay Rajangam has about 18 years of experience as an IT consultant, Educator, Researcher and Mentor. She has worked extensively with secondary school students and is a permanent SINDA STEP teacher for Mathematics and Science. She focuses on incorporating differentiated instructions in her class and implements Theory of Multiple Intelligences. She is sincere and committed and has a commendable teacher-student relationship. Her problem solving involves using manipulative techniques for better understanding for the students.As a researcher she has conducted an intensive study focusing on primary and secondary school students. As a mentor, she has worked with school teachers in upgrading their skill sets. As an IT consultant, she has worked in technical and functional domain.

Rama

Science and Math Tutor

Rama holds a Masters in Physics and Bachelors in education from Tamil Nadu, India. Having taught students for more than 10 years, she has experience with both primary and lower secondary curriculum, with students from many schools.
Teaching from the heart is something Rama strongly believes in and she keeps her lessons student-centric rather than following a rigid lesson plan. She is highly attuned to every student’s needs and focuses on complementing what the student learns in school.She enjoys working with children from all ability levels.
Rama is deeply passionate about reading. She also enjoys cooking with her two boys.

Hello! My name is Jan and I am a specialist tutor for English language and communications. I'm committed to bringing maximum progress to all my students and have spent over half a decade successfully tutoring students for their IB, IGCSE/GCSE, A level, and American high school curriculum. (Singapore, Dubai, UK, Hong Kong, France and Switzerland)
I also offer bespoke English language classes for adults that are keen to have stronger communication skills (written, spoken and otherwise) and become more confident conversationalists. Whether it is to meet academic, professional or personal objectives, my lessons offer maximum value through a holistic approach to learning.
Prior to being a specialist tutor, I spent close to a decade as a marketing and communications strategist in global markets (APAC, MENA,UK,US) where I saw first-hand the competitive advantage that strong communication and comprehension skills bring. Through my repertoire of skills, experience and commitment to their success, my guidance will provide an engaging, effective and encouraging learning experience for my students.
